Wheat Ridge Homes   

The City of Wheat Ridge was founded in 1859 and served as a farming community supporting many of the mining prospectors who settled in the area in the early days of the gold rush.

Jefferson County Public School District encompass all of the schools located in Wheat Ridge including Wheat Ridge High School.  This shool district has an estimated 84,000 students enrolled in their 148 schools, which happens to be the largest school district in the state.

Wheat Ridge is located directly west of downtown Denver and is divided from Golden Real Estate and Arvada Real Estate by Interstate 70.

Currently, improvements along the interchange along  I-70 and highway 58 have begun to help the increasing amount of traffic through the area.  These improvements are also helping prepare the city for the construction of the new Cabela’s retail store (The World’s Foremost Outfitter for Hunting, Fishing and Outdoor Gear) that should be finished by the end of summer 2008.

Coors Brewing Company is located a mile west of the city limits, and the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center features and indoor pool, gymnasium and weight room.
