Founded in 1981, Highlands Ranch is located just 12 miles south of Denver and right off of highway C-470 between Santa Fe Blvd. and University Blvd.  This prosperous community in northern Douglas County has increased dramatically over the last two decades and today the total population is well over 89,000 and still growing. 

Located at the south western end of the greater Denver metro area, Highlands Ranch offers much for outdoor life, with over 22 parks and more than 70 miles of trails that include numerous dog parks and other residential parks, and just 5 miles west is the Chatfield Reservoir which encompasses roughly 3000 sq. mi.  Chatfield Reservoir is perfect for boating enthusiasts or for the fisherman looking to cast a line for the day. 

The median household income in 2005 was $93,677 a year, and the estimated value for a home/condo located in Highlands Ranch was $305,000. 

With no signs of slowing down, Highlands Ranch will continue to be a very lucrative place to live for any home buyer.  Although very similar socially and culturally to the City of Boulder, Highlands Ranch is relatively newer in regards to Real Estate with more room to build and grow for years to come.  Especially, with the recent expansion and renovation of the Denver Tech Center (DTC) located just minutes away on Interstate 25.
