The historic town of Golden, Colorado lies on the footsteps of the Rocky Mountains and is located approximately 15 miles west of downtown Denver just a short drive down 6th Ave.

Nestled in Clear Creek Canyon, Golden is one of Colorado’s oldest communities.  Golden homes are located in or around historic buildings most of which have been preserved for well over 100 years.

In the year 2000 the estimated median house/condo value for Golden homes was $198,300, today this estimation is over $266,000.

Golden has so much to offer for any home buyer, in 2003 Fossil Trace Golf Club opened and after which has received critic acclaim as one of the top 10 new courses in the country 2003, and received 4 ½ stars for 2006-2007 in Golf Digest.

Colorado is also known as being one of the most educated states in the country, and has just recently been ranked 11th, and is ranked second in median household income at $52,011 (United States Census Bureau).

Other than the many fine secondary educational institutions found in Colorado such as the University of Colorado (Boulder), Colorado State University (Ft. Collins), and the University of Northern Colorado (Greeley), Golden is home to the Colorado School of Mines which is a public research university devoted to engineering and the applied sciences.  This university has the highest admissions standards of any other in the state and is among the highest of any public university in the U.S.
