Founded in 1891 as the town of Fletcher, the City of Aurora did not change its name to Aurora until 1907 which is Latin for dawn.

Aurora Real Estate is split between three counties: Adams, Arapahoe, and Douglas. Aurora is also the 3rd most populous city in Colorado and is the 59th most populous city in the United States.

Aurora is also home to the all new Anschutz Medical Campus which is also the new home of the University of Colorado Health and Sciences Center and Colorado’s Children Hospital which will gross approximately 3.4 million square feet of education, patient care and research space, and will employ over 32,000.

Denver International Airport (DIA) is located on the outskirts of Aurora’s city limits and is actually closer to Aurora than any other municipality in the Denver metro area. DIA is also the largest airport in the United States and the fifth busiest.
